What to Pray for Safe Travels

Praying for safe travels is important during and especially before you leave for a trip!

Traveling is always a fun and exciting experience but do you ever find yourself thinking of all the things that could go wrong on a trip? That’s why I like to pray not only while traveling but also several months leading up to it! Really, I like to start praying for any of my upcoming trips the minute I start planning it! Here’s a bulleted prayer list for safe travels that you can use at any point in the planning or traveling process.

Pray for:

  • People

    • Safety for all people involved and always be aware of our surroundings

    • Grow in relationship with those traveling with 

    • Positive encounters with all people in all situations 

  • Situations

    • Traveling mercies

    • Smooth travels

      • Peace and joy during the trip

    • No issues, complications or frustrations

      • No obstacles

      • Patience in difficulties

      • Protection from accidents or mishaps

    • Good weather and all great conditons for any activity planned

    • Navigation is easy and no getting lost

  • Health

    • No sickness before, during, or after trip

  • Gratitude

    • Trip be honorable to God

    • Thank God for allowing you to go on this trip!
